Since 1983, Lora has been involved in with family support, advocacy, and community building. Through work with Parent to Parent, The Exceptional Family Resource Center, and San Diego Unified, Lora shares a unique perspective on how the parent support movement has evolved and the impact of a parent-professional approach over time. Lora served as the Parent Director/Founder of the Exceptional Family Resource Center, Supervising Special Education Ombudsperson, and the first Chairperson of the Family Resource Center Network of California. Lora continues to support and advocate for families and most importantly believes that parents hold the power to change systems. Lora is a mom to two adults and a proud grandma to Jaxon and Malcolm.
